Parenting With Purpose (PWP) is a 501c-3, non-profit organization founded by Paul and Lori Strong in 1995. PWP teaches parenting classes to incarcerated parents in Shakopee Correctional Facility, Faribault Correctional Facility and Hennepin County Jail. They also provides a variety of support services designed to assist families impacted by incarceration. In addition, PWP matches children of prisoners with caring adult mentors and provides support groups and life-skills training for them. Through sharing the love of God, PWP has been able to help bring helaing and restoration to over 2,950 families and their children in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metor area.

| Objectives of PWP |
- Bring healing, restoration and reconciliation to children, families and communities affected by incarceration
- Break the intergenerational cycle of crime within families affected by incarceration
- Reduce the risk of relapsing into crime
- Reduce violence at home and in the community
- Assist the affected children in achieving their hopes and dreams
- Serve as a voice for the children by sharing with communities the statistics and life stories of the very children we serve
